Ms. Durham has distinguished herself as a mentor in her field.

NOLENSVILLE, TN, April 12, 2022 – Karen Rene Nance Durham, RN, BSN, BSEd, ONC, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Dunham draws upon three decades of relevant experience in her current role as a staff nurse at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Before attaining this position in 2014, she served the Washington Health System in the same capacity, honing her skills in the medical field. A highly qualified professional, she initially earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in vocational home economics at Harding University in 1979. Ms. Dunham followed this accomplishment with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the California University of Pennsylvania in 1993.

Due to her occupational expertise, Ms. Durham was recognized as a Presidential Scholar at the California University of Pennsylvania. She has also been bestowed with a Silver Beaver Award and a Wood Badge through the Boy Scouts of America, for whom she has completed extensive volunteer work. In accounting for her professional success, Ms. Durham is grateful for the support of her parents, as well as her leadership team. In addition to her accomplishments in the medical field, she has served as an administrator for an organization supporting single parents. 

An experienced member of the medical community, Ms. Durham is notable for her assistance in the development of the Nurse Practice Council, for which she serves as a chair, at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center. A mentor to other leaders and nurse practitioners in this institution, she hopes to complete the restructuring of the Nurse Practice Council before retirement. Owing to her expertise, Ms. Durham belongs to several professional organizations in her field.
